At long last - the new CD, Tom Mitchell and Friends, will be released to the public!  We're celebrating down at the SCVFA March Jamboree.

Come on down and check out the jam, get Tom's autograph, and meet the musicians who contributed their talents to the project! Refreshments and a door prize will be provided.

100%  proceeds from this event will benefit the SCVFA.

Howdy Folks

I think the fun originating from the CD Project is just beginning. I base my opinion on several things that have happened lately.

1. Tomoko gave a copy to her bridge partner. This lady (who is not particularly into the music scene) says she listens to it it over and over.

2. I sent a copy to my niece in Florida. She listened to it for the first time while driving on the freeway and got so interested that she drove right past the place where she was supposed to exit. (She has ordered 8 copies to give to all of her family)

3. Sent a copy to my niece in Illinois. She has ordered 3 copies for her kids. She says her son has purchased an unused high school building in Plymouth Ill. where he has opened up a business which has a flea market on weekends. He has blue grass groups in to play so my niece is going to give him a copy of the cd which he will use to entertain the flea market customers. The amazing part is this is the same place I started my high school music teaching career. I'm sure, when the word gets out about the cd, we'll get a lot of orders from the people who knew me back then.

I guess all we need to do is seed the nation with cds then sit back and wait for the crops to come in.

After 50 plus episodes of listening to the cd from beginning to end, I'm convinced that there is more to this cd than meets the eye (ear) the first time you listen to it. I think we should congratulate ourselves on creating a work of art that will be around for an extended period of time.
